DESCRIPTION
Bifonazole belongs to a group of medicines called imidazole and is an antifungal agent which fights the cause of fungal skin infections.
INDICATIONS
- Mycoses of the skin and skin folds, feet and hands. (a disease caused by any fungus that invades the tissues, causing superficial, subcutaneous, or systemic disease.)
- Erythrasma (Erythrasma is a superficial skin infection that causes brown, scaly skin patches.)
- Pityriasis Versicolor
- Ringworms, (also known as dermatophytosis, dermatophyte infection, or tinea, is a fungal infection of the skin.)
- Athlete’s Foot (tinea Pedis) is a fungal infection that usually begins between the toes.
- Jock itch (tinea Cruris) is a fungal infection that causes a red and itchy rash in warm and moist areas of the body.
PRECAUTIONS
- Treatment of infants with nappy rash.
- Treatment of nail and scalp infections.
- There are no clinical data from the use of Bifonazole in pregnant women. Studies in animals have shown reproductive toxicity at high oral doses.
- It is unknown whether Bifonazole is excreted in human breast milk after topical application.

- The affected areas should be washed and dried thoroughly before the cream is applied.
- The cream should be applied thinly and evenly to the affected areas once daily, preferably at night before going to bed, and rubbed in gently.
- In Athlete foot, it may help to use an antifungal dusting powder as well. Ask your doctor to recommend one
- Treatment should be continued for 2-3 weeks.
