DESCRIPTION
Hyseke Solution containing Ketoconazole 2% w/w is a medicated shampoo used for the treatment and prevention of infection of the scalp and skin associated with the fungus Pityrosporum.

INDICATION
Hyseke Solution containing Ketoconazole used for the treatment of:

• Dandruff (Pityriasis capitis)
• Seborrheic Dermatitis (a dry or greasy scaling of the scalp and other parts of the body)
• Pityriasis versicolor (a condition causing white to brown patches to develop on parts of the body)

PRECAUTIONS

• Hypersensitivity to ketoconazole or any of the excipients.
• In patients who have been on prolonged treatment with topical corticosteroids, it is recommended that the steroid therapy be gradually withdrawn over a period of 2 – 3 weeks, while using Ketoconazole 2% w/w shampoo, to prevent any potential rebound effect.
• Ketoconazole 2% w/w shampoo may be irritating to mucous membranes of the eyes and contact with this area should be avoided. If Ketoconazole 2% w/w shampoo does get into the eyes, they should be bathed gently with cold water.

DIRECTIONS

• Wet hair and scalp thoroughly with water
• Apply sufficient Hyseke Solution to produce enough lather to clean hair and scalp.
• Gently massage over entire scalp, and leave 3 to 5 minutes.
• Wash it off with warm water.

DURATION OF TREATMENT

• Dandruff & Seborrheic dermatitis: Use Hyseke Solution twice weekly for 2-4 weeks.
• Prophylaxis: Use Hyseke Solution once every 1-2 weeks
• Pityriasis versicolor: Use Hyseke Solution once daily for a maximum of 5 days.
